En noviembre de 1992, los hermanos Francisco “Pancho” y Rodrigo Gorostiaga iniciaban juntos sus primeras operaciones en la venta de automóviles en un local ubicado sobre la Avda. España y General Santos, en un punto estratégico de la ciudad de Asunción.
Desde estos inicios, la empresa marcaba una forma propia de exponer las marcas de automóviles, con inversión en infraestructura y diseño, cuando en Asunción no existían espacios de este tipo.
Además, ofrecía un sistema innovador de negociación, recibiendo automóviles usados como parte de pago y financiación propia.
En el 2000 se habilita la primera sucursal del interior del país, en Ciudad del Este.
En el 2003, Gorostiaga Automóviles realiza la mudanza de su centro de atención a la actual Casa Central sobre la Avda. San Martín, con un nuevo y ampliado show room, presentando nuevamente aquí un estilo arquitectónico moderno en sintonía con el estilo innovador y el fortalecimiento de la empresa. Desde el 2005 se incorporaron al catálogo marcas como Isuzu y Hyundai y desde el 2007 también Mitsubishi.
Este mismo año, se inicia la venta de camiones usados de la marca Scania en un local de exposición especializado sobre la Avenida Madame Lynch y el show room en el Paraná Country Club de la ciudad de Hernandarias en el Alto Paraná.
En el 2008, la empresa incursiona en la línea de utilitarios de medianoy pequeño porte, con la marca JMC importada desde China. Desde 2009, se ponen a disposición de los clientes las camionetas pick up de marca Great Wall del mismo origen. Ese mismo año se inauguró la sucursal de Encarnación, el local más importante de esta ciudad en la comercialización de vehículos que luce por su elegante arquitectura.
En el 2010, se incorporan a la propuesta maquinarias usadas Caterpillar, buscando nuevos mercados y acompañando el desarrollo en infraestructura que registra el país.
En noviembre de 2010 fallece inesperadamente, a los 46 años, uno de sus fundadores, Francisco “Pancho” Gorostiaga. Desde entonces, la empresa continúa su legado, motivada por el espíritu siempre innovador y de servicio que le caracterizaba, con empuje y cordialidad para concretar un buen trato.
Siguiendo con fuerza, en 2012 la empresa construye la sucursal en San Rita y amplía la Casa Central en Asunción con un show room de más de 3000 mt2 y una gran variedad de marcas (local de la Avda. San martín esq. Bertoni). En este espacio también se rinde un tributo a su fundador, Pancho Gorostiaga, reconocido a nivel nacional como uno de los mejores pilotos paraguayos de todos los tiempos, tricampeón del Rally del Chaco (2002, 2006 y 2007) y Campeón Sudamericano.

In November 1992, the brothers Francisco “Pancho” and Rodrigo Gorostiaga jointly initiated their first
operations in the sales of cars, in a premise located on España Avenue and General Santos, a strategic spot in the city of Asunción.
From these beginnings, the company was setting its own way to expose the automobile brands, with investments in infrastructure and design, while in Asunción there were no spaces of this kind. In addition, it offered an innovative negotiation system, by accepting used cars as partial payment and offering own financing.
In 2000, the first branch office outside the capital city was opened, in Ciudad del Este.
In 2003, Gorostiaga Automobiles moves its customer service center to the current Head Office located on San Martín Avenue, with a new and expanded show room, once again presenting a modern architectural style, in tune with the innovative style and the strengthening of the company.
From 2005 on, new brands were incorporated to the catalogue, such as Isuzu and Hyundai, as well as Mitsubishi from 2007 on. That same year, the sales of used Scania trucks started in a specialized exhibition premise located on Madame Lynch Avenue, and the show room in the Paraná Country Club in the city of Hernandarias in Alto Paraná.
In 2008, the company starts operating in the line of small and medium commercial vehicles of the JMC brand, imported from China. Since 2009, the pick-up trucks of the Great Wall brand, also from China, are made available for the customers. That same year, the branch office in Encarnación was opened, the most important premise for the commercialization of vehicles in the city, which stands out for its elegant architecture.
In 2010, used Caterpillar machineries are incorporated, with the goal of searching for new markets and joining the infrastructure development in the country.
In November 2010, one of the founders, Francisco “Pancho” Gorostiaga, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 46. Ever since, the company continues his legacy, motivated by the constant innovative and service oriented spirit that characterized him, with the impetus and cordiality in offering the best deal.
Moving forth strongly, in 2012 the company builds the branch office in Santa Rita and expands the Head Office in Asunción, with a show room of more than 3000 mt2 and a great variety of brands (premise located on San Martín Avenue and Bertoni). In this space, a tribute is paid to our founder, Pancho Gorostiaga, renowned at national level as one of the best Paraguayan pilots of all times, three times champion of the Chaco Rally (2002, 2006 and 2007) and South American Champion.
